Your Volunteering Placement
Our core mission is built around Conservation, Education, and Support, fostering a sustainable community in Landak and Bukit Lawang where people, nature, and wildlife can thrive together.
We support local farmers through selective tree-planting initiatives, education, and assistance for income lost to wildlife such as orangutans. At the same time, we work to create larger, safer wildlife corridors that protect animals and reduce conflicts with farmland.
All proceeds from our tours go directly toward these conservation efforts. Guests can further contribute by joining our combination packages, which blend treks with hands-on volunteer opportunities.

Eco-Conservation Bukit Lawang: Empowering Local Farmers and fighting human-wildlife conflict
No day is the same with us:
We are dedicated to supporting local farmers by offering them diverse employment opportunities. By providing these roles, we offer an alternative to palm oil plantation work, which is often seen as a last resort. As a volunteer, you will engage in a variety of tasks, gaining an authentic understanding of the daily lives of North Sumatran farmers.
Your involvement not only supports sustainable practices but also helps foster a stronger, more resilient community.
